Sage was a local family's cat who was abused horrifically. He managed to make it home only to succumb to his injuries at the emergency clinic. This emergency fund has been created in his honor. Animal cruelty is a huge problem and we are working with other shelters, law enforcement and local government officials to help catch these perpetrators and prosecute them to the full extent of the law. Unfortunately, when an animal is abused, the owners may not be able to afford to pay for necessary medical care, or the animal is a stray and we can't find it's owners. Our program provides assistance to those who cannot afford medical care for their pets. These pets are part of their families and not being able to provide necessary medical care is heartbreaking for them. The animals who do not have owners receive proper medical care, foster homes and eventually get adopted by a great family or live a tranquil life at our sanctuary in Corrine, UT.
