About this cause:Clear Thoughts Foundation (CTF) was established in 2010 with the primary purpose to raise funds to discover drugs and novel therapeutics (biogenetics, stem cells, etc.) to stop the effects of dementia and eventually end this terrible disease.
All of the founding members of CTF have had some personal experience with dementia (FTD, Alzheimer’s, etc.) or other related cognitive disorders and have been disappointed with the lack of available and effective drugs and therapeutics currently available.
CTF will fund research both nationally and internationally, targeted at developing and screening drugs and therapeutics for dementia treatment that are cutting-edge, innovative and clinically promising.
In late 2014, CTF announced the creation of the Donald M. Jameson Jr. Fellowship. This Fellowship award will provide one year of support to a scientist researching ways to discover drugs to stop dementia. The inaugural Fellowship was granted to Dr. Roya DePasquale, a distinguished neuroscientist who is an expert on neurodegenerative diseases.
