Team Molyno
As many of you know Donna has struggled with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) for more than 25 years. Which started out as generalized left sided weakness, which gives her stroke like feelings effecting her left side of the body.
Over the last several years her MG has effected Donna's vision. In her battle with MG, Donna is getting IVIG treatments for 2 days every other week which take about 8 hours for the infusion each day. These treatments have helped lessen some of her vision issues.
We are asking for continued prayer as she manages the other prescriptions that help in allowing her to have a better quality of life for a patient with MG. But in turn lead to other issues such as insulin dependent, bowel issues and walking distance she needs to use a walker or scooter to reduce the fatigue, weakness and pain.
This disease chooses its victims at random without prejudice. Myasthenia Gravis is not well funded or known about, but it has forever changed our lives.
Donna has always been an active wife, mother, sports team cheerleader and proud grandmom our pray is that she can stay as active in the lives of our family by beating this disease. We are excited to support the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) through the MG Walk.
The MGFA is the only national volunteer health agency in the United States dedicated solely to the fight against Myasthenia Gravis.
MGFA is committed to finding a cure for Myasthenia Gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options, and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
