My wife, the warrior
Posted on April 02 2013
My wife was diagnosed with Lupus about 6 years ago. Since then, I’ve watched her battle the unknowns of Lupus. I’ve seen her sit and cry because she hurts so bad and nothing seems to help. I watched her move around restless on the couch because she’s unable to get comfortable due to the pain. I’ve held her as she mourned the loss of a fellow Lupus Warrior. Lupus is such a horrible, debilitating, and mostly ignored disease. My wife fights it with a great force. She searched for a Lupus support group and, when none could be found nearby, she started one. Even during the days when I have to help her out of bed, she refuses to let it stop her. She is a warrior and my hero.
