Hi...my name is Sissy, it's my nickname, that's what I prefer to use, I'm 49 yrs old and I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition after the birth of my son, 13 years ago. I went from hyperthyroidism to hypothyroidism. My dosages change frequently, I lose weight and then I gain it back, I don't sleep well,I get tired by 2-3:00 in the afternoon, then I'll get a burst of energy, I can be mad one minute and cry the next. I was also diagnosed with the trigger points for fibromyalgia. Some days it's painful and some days it doesn't bother me. When I was first diagnosed, I didn't think it was something to worry about, because I wasn't educated enough to know that this is a serious illness! I had a goiter and had a radiation treatment and it worked! So I assumed I was cured!! Well, I was educated really quick. This disease really makes me uncomfortable, I sometimes don't think clearly, I don't remember things. And not to mention all the changes you go through!
