My Husband is a Brave CF-er

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that is becoming more and more well known. It’s becoming more and more well known because medications, treatments, and research have made it possible for CF patients to live longer lives. My husband, Andrew, is proof of these scientific marvels. He just celebrated his 27th birthday in November and while every day is a challenge for him – he is the bravest man in the whole world. He takes care of me, our 4 dogs, the house, and is a part time nanny… all while taking care of himself. When he was born, they said he might live to see his teenage years. When he became a teenager, they said he might live to see his twenties. And now, they say the possibilities are endless. “Life is short” is a quote wasted on us. “Life is long” and we are brave! I’m wearing my Cystic Fibrosis Bravelet for him and the life we are living together!
