My big brother, Sebastian

Posted on March 09 2015

In 2005, my older brother, at age 27, committed suicide. This event has forever changed my family and will always be a part of who I am. He was lost and too prideful to ask for help, believing that he his fight with depression was his alone to fight and didn't want to burden our family any longer. I hope to be brave and pass awareness that there are other choices one can make. Friends and family will always be willing to help you and help you find a way to get thru your battle. There are resources available and professionals who can help. Anything and everything is better and worth fighting for then the grief left behind in your absence. I love you, Sebastian, and wish everyday that you were still here with us.
