My daughter Megan was diagnosed with ESRD at young age of 9. As a nurse, I was stunned. I took her to ER with suspected Appendicitis and was told she had ESRD. I could not believe it. She was healthy, visited Doctor for annuals and never had UTI. Megan has endured more surgeries, more pain and distress than most people I know as a nurse. She is strong, determined and hopeful. Recently had a third transplant and it has been hell of a journey. Multiple biopsies, hospitalizations and worry. I pray every day for my daughter and all people with health issues. I strongly support Donor Programs and hope you will.
