Healing through Helping in honor of Harper Lynn
Posted on March 19 2015
On September 6, 2014 our world was shattered when we gave birth prematurely to our beautiful daughter Harper Lynn Popp. She weighed only 14 ounces and was 10 inches long! While in the hospital the dressed her in a donated gown, bonnet, and wrapped her in a blanket. We didnt think much of it at the time as we were so distraught with emotions. But we soon realized that those little items were the few things that would get us through the hard times. It was amazing to have something of hers to hold on to. Shortly after her passing I decided that I wanted to pay it forward, and donate items such as these to help families just like ours. I started collecting, and making blankets, hats, and gowns and donated to hospitals, not only for premature births but also for children who are sick and dealing with cancers or other illnesses. Though times are tough and money is tight and I have not been able to get the supplies and materials needed to keep this going. I am asking for help from our friends and family so I can continue to make these items to donate in Harpers honor!!! Even a $1 would make a world of difference!! Thank you so much!!
