I went for a routine colonoscopy in July 2014 and a week later I found out I had cancer. I had no symptoms, and I did not feel bad, yet I had Stage IV cancer. After a 4 months of treatment, which included chemo and radiation, I was, by the grace of God cancer free. I am still in remission. 2 years, 2 months and counting!

In March 2016, I went for a routine mammogram (3D mammogram). I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer, which interestingly, had nothing to do with my 2014 cancer. Without a 3D mammogram, it is likely the lump would not have been found. I had a lumpectomy and a short round of radiation and take medication daily to prevent its return.

Neither I or my story are special. What is special is the God I serve. I know that my healing came from Him. God is good. All the time God is good. Prayer, attitude and laughter - the best medicine of all!
