For the Love of Logan
Posted on June 09 2015
Some days I wish Logan didn't have to be so brave... Each and everyday Logan has to fight the disease he was born with - Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a disease that affects every mucus membrane of the body, but most devastatingly is the lungs. Because of this, everyday he has to take lots of medicine, do physical treatments, and sleep at night with a feeding tube. It is painful to watch him have to go through all of this, but he does it without a complaint and it has made him the bravest boy I know. I started this page for him because I couldn't be prouder of my brave boy or feel more blessed to be his mom. Logan has taught me to live each day to the fullest, appreciate the little things, and to be brave myself. Our family wouldn't be who we are today without the lessons Logan has taught us.
Everyone has a reason or a cause to be brave for... That is why I love this idea. I wear my bravelet proudly because it represents our story and our fight. We have no doubt Logan will overcome his disease and we admire all those who choose to be brave.
