My daughter Skylar was 15 and had her whole life ahead of her. She was planning on college and was in the junior EMS program at my work. She had just had her first high school Christmas dance and had chosen to go with a special needs boy whom she had grown close too in school. She would go out of her way to sit And befriend those that were alone or bullied. She never wore anything but a smile on her face and would be silly just to cheer someone up. And one night her dreams...her life...were taken by a drunk driver. It is my mission to educate others as well as getting laws changed regarding DUI's. My life is forever changed and not a day goes by I don't wish to trade places with her. As she made a difference in this cruel world..yet she continues to do so. Be strong... because sometimes that's the only choice we have. #flyhighsky #stopimpaireddriving |

Oh my goodness! I’m so sorry …I can’t even imagine the loss and heartache you’ve had to endure in losing her. She was a true angel from heaven sent here to show how we all should be towards one another…❤️
I’m so very sorry for your loss.. my family also lost a beautiful soul to a drunk driver 6 years ago on April 1st. Melanie would light up a room, singing everywhere she went. She was the oldest of 4 daughters, and 3 foster children. Her loss has been a heavy burden for our family, but we find our strength in Christ Jesus and in our love for each other. I pray many will be moved to drive sober, and cherrish their time with loved ones…<3 God bless.
Sorry for the loss of your daughter. From your writting, she was truly remarkable. She changed the world for those she went out of her way to ensure they felt special. A gift indeed.
I am so sorry for your loss. She sounds like she was a great and caring person. With a very big heart.
