Dart for a Cure
Posted on April 27 2015
My sister, Deborah Couch was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She beat the breast cancer and was getting ready for her reconstructive surgery when it was discovered that the cancer had traveled to her liver. This was in July 2014, we lost her on October 2, 2014. She was 51 years old. She was a very loving person, who left behind her partner, Phyl, her sisters and brother, her mom and dad, her nieces and nephews along with countless numbers of friends. Unfortunately the loss of Deb was too much for my mom and we lost her on the way to Deb's funeral. However, the two people that will miss her the most are my 2 daughters, she was the aunt that loved them unconditionally, their main supporter and the one that introduce them to so many of her loves; cats, traveling, movies and reading. Therefore the girls and I have decided to join in the fight against Breast Cancer so that another family does not have to go through the pain and loss that we are experiencing. For every bracelet sold, $10 will be donated to our Making Strides Breast Cancer team "Dart for a Cure" for our walk in October.
