Cancer Went too Far

Posted on February 19 2015

We have all been affected by cancer in some way. There is nothing like hearing the words, "You have Cancer." But for those of us on the sidelines it had just become a part of life. That changed for me in 2001 when my father was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. He did so well and although still has remnants of issues from the cancer that he will always suffer from - he is cancer free.
In 2012 my Godfather Robby Wilson was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bladder cancer. He passed away in less than a month. He never had the chance to fight. Cancer went to far and I was going to fight where Rob never had a chance. I created a Relay for Life Team "Fighting Back" and we work very hard to raise money for the American Cancer Society. I have also volunteered along with my husband for 30 year studies in cancer research.
Last week I lost my best friend Fay Hooker to Ovarian Cancer. She was so brave for so long and no one should have to suffer the way that she did.

I am asking others to help me fight - fight for those who have taken their earthly fight to a Heavenly level - fight for those here still fighting who are too tired to fight - fight for those who don't know the fight is ahead of them. Please help us raise money. Cancer never sleeps and it does not discriminate. We cannot stop fighting.
