Aneurysms Are Hereditary
Posted on September 27 2012
My mother almost lost her life to a brain aneurysm in 1995. My brother Michael had one in 2010, survived the repair and passed away this past January from a rebleed. His repair failed and he was in the hospital for 4 days brain dead before his shunt finally clotted off and caused his brain to herniate. This caused respiratory failure which is ultimately how he passed. This was a horrible and very traumatic event for my family. I love the idea of these bracelets that create awareness for research and prevention of aneurysm rupture, seeing how there are not that many foundations out there.
