The Dan Deason PTSD Awareness Benefit
Started by: Bethany Smith
|This fundraiser is to help us get things we need for the PTSD Awareness Benefit being held in June. This benefit was started in memory of my brother, Dan Deason, who served his country at the age of 17 in the Army and served in Iraq for 15 months. After he returned home, he struggled with severe PTSD for 8 years before he took his own life in October of 2016. He was loving, caring, and always willing to help. He was a volunteer firefighter in his community and was always there when you needed him. In his honor, we have decided to donate our time to this cause because it is becoming a serious issue in our military and society. We raise funds to help Camp Hope, a non-profit organization in Houston that helps vets that struggle with this debilitating illness. Help support our cause and help our military men and women who putbtheirnlives on the line for us to have the freedom to help like this. Thank you.|
